The Argent Tournament is a fun new in-game event and daily quest area located in North East Icecrown. Based on the medievil practice of jousting tournaments, the Argent Tournament will equip new registrants with a Lance and a Steed and train them how to dual one another in mounted lance smashing combat!

Posted in Software with tags Beginners, Microsoft, Software Help, Tutorial, Word 2007 on April 24, 2009 by unholypriestWhen I originally wrote these two “How to MS Word 2007” guides I did it with my mother in mind. She’s really smart and has always been at the front of computer development. We had a computer and Internet back when no one else did. She installed our own modem and sound card back in 1993. Somewhere around 2000, though, she started to fall behind. I think it just wasn’t a novelty to her anymore and she stopped putting the effort into it. So when I was asked to write a couple MS Word 2007 tutorials I wrote them for her, and everyone else out there who just wants their software to work for them and doesn’t want to spend the time learning tons of new programs and features every time they push out a new build.
AMD OverDrive WIN

There’s a great utility available for free now from AMD (and associates). I recently got a new motherboard and CPU, and AMD OverDrive came with the motherboard. I gave it a thorough check-out, and have used some of its features to easily overclock, not just my CPU, but my whole system including video, bus speeds, and memory. This is especially nice for me because my whole system is designed to be overclocked. I payed a meager $70 for my 2.7GHz dual core 64 bit Kuma BLACK edition processor, and have managed to overclock it to a degree that it measures up with the stock speeds of several hundred dollar CPUs. With my custom liquid cooling system I don’t even have to worry about temperatures – it always stays nice ‘n’ cool.
Asus Express Gate – WTF?

As I mentioned in a previous blog, I bought a new motherboard and CPU fairly recently. I always buy ASUS. I love them. They’ve never let me down. And they have great prices and above and beyond features. This new thing they’re doing, though, that they call the “Asus Express Gate” is just kinda weird.
New Emblem of Conquest Gear

Not that many guilds can even kill bosses in 25 Ulduar, let alone farm all the instance for badges. But for those of us with hope, taking a gander at the new Conquest badge vendor may inspire, may depress, but it is at least worth knowing what the future may hold.
ATI Catalyst Control Center – Settings and Overclocking

The ATI Catalyst Control Center is a complex and extremely cool settings and overclocking tool that comes with most new ATI video cards and drivers. If your drivers did not include the CCC and you are using a newer card then you can download it from the ATI website. With the CCC, you can use basic and easy settings like resolution, refresh rate, 3-D quality, and standard color, brightness, and contrast settings. You can use the advanced settings to configure 3-D display options and even overclock your video card.
Death Knight Class Changes – What is the new “I WIN” Death Knight Spec Anyhow?

A month or so back I published the Death Knight Class Changes for Patch 3.1. Now that the patch is out, my thoughts and feelings have changed somewhat. Initially I thought they were “buffing the shit” out of Unholy, and even though I’ve seen little in the way of real “nerfs”, it seems that they buffed it less than they buffed the other classes and specs out there.
The Sons of Hodir for Total Noobs

Their big and ugly, but the only giants in northrend that will give you a shoulder enchant.
Ok guys, it is truly staggering how often I run into players with unenchanted shoulders who’s only excuse is “I’m not a scribe”. Those are the smarter of the unenchanted shoulder club, because at least they know what an scribe is. But seriously people, there is a super duper easy (and fucking profitable) way to get your goddamn shoulder slot enchanted, even if you’re not a scribe.
Yeah, I play WoW

Let it be known that I play World of Warcraft pretty seriously. I’m not one of those girls that wasn’t a gamer, then her boyfriend got her hooked on WoW, and now she is a gamer. I have always been, since playing NES with my older brother and his friends at age 3. WoW wasn’t my first MMO, either. I played a couple before it, like Star Wars: Galaxies, and The Matrix Online. Since playing WoW I havn’t been exclusive to it, either. I’ve played Dungeons and Dragons Online, Tabula Rasa quite seriously, Warhammer Online quite seriously, and a spattering of others both in retail and beta.
